On 27th of September, 2019 the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology participated on the Reasercher’s Night. We introduced interesting spatial geometries, special building structures and parametric design. A scale-model of a parametric pavilion was also created for this event.
The surface of it is subdivided to triangles, and their size is changing. They are smaller on one side, and bigger on the other one. It wouldn’t be possible to create planar surfaces from the edges with offseting the surface, so instead the triangles are the base of piramids which apex is a centerpoint inside of the building. According to this the building elements are truncted pyramids, which were laser cutted. The model was premade and decomposable, so children were able to explore and assemble it.
